The best health tracker is the one you actually keep on — including at night. Bulky smartwatches with glowing screens often end up on the bedside table, which means the most important data of the day, your sleep, never gets recorded. The Google Fitbit Air in Fog fixes that.
A soft, neutral look
Fog is a light, airy grey band finished with a polished silver stainless-steel buckle. It's a calm, neutral colour that works with white linen, gym wear and work clothes alike — and because there's no screen, there's nothing lighting up the room at 2am.
Why it's great for sleep
- No screen, no buttons — nothing to tap accidentally in your sleep.
- Sleep tracking with heart rate, SpO2 (blood oxygen) and HRV to show how well you actually rested.
- Skin-temperature variation, viewable in the Google Health app, to spot changes over time.
- AFib checks while you sleep — the tracker watches your heart rhythm during rest for signs of atrial fibrillation.
- Morning Readiness score that tells you whether to push hard or take it easy today.
Battery that keeps up
You get up to 7 days per charge. Better still, a 5-minute quick charge gives roughly a full day — top it up while you shower and get dressed, and you'll never miss a night. A full charge takes about 90 minutes.
Built for UAE days
With 50-metre water resistance, the Fog can join you for laps in the pool, a JBR beach day or a sweaty summer walk. The textile band fits wrists from 130–210 mm and the housing is made from recycled plastics.
Free features vs Premium
Steps, heart rate and sleep tracking all work for free in the Google Health app. Add an optional Google Health Premium membership to unlock the Gemini-powered Health Coach, which can help build better sleep habits and fitness plans around your schedule.
Is the Fog right for you?
Choose Fog if you want a light, minimal tracker that looks clean on the wrist and you mainly care about sleep, recovery and everyday activity. If you prefer something darker, see the Obsidian; for a pop of colour, try Berry or Lavender.
The Fitbit Air is a wellness device and does not diagnose medical conditions. Speak to a doctor about any health concerns.
