When Google launched the Fitbit Air in May 2026, it also worked with NBA champion Stephen Curry on a special version for athletes. The result is the Fitbit Air – Rye (Stephen Curry Special Edition) — the most premium model in the range, and now in stock in Dubai.
What makes the Special Edition different?
- Exclusive Rye band — a warm, earthy tone you won't find on the standard models.
- Pyrite stainless-steel buckle, unique to this edition.
- Water-resistant band coating that makes it ultra sweatproof and moisture-wicking — ideal for hot UAE outdoor sessions.
- Collector appeal: a limited special edition developed with one of basketball's all-time greats.
Same powerful tracker inside
Under the band it's the full Fitbit Air experience:
- 24/7 heart rate, steps, Active Zone Minutes, distance and calories.
- Cardio Load & Readiness to balance hard training days with recovery.
- AFib alerts, SpO2, HRV and sleep tracking.
- Water resistant to 50 m.
- Up to 7 days battery; 5 minutes of charging gives about a day.
Built for the court, the gym and the track
Because there's no screen, there's nothing to crack when you go for a rebound or drop a dumbbell. The tracker records quietly in the background and syncs everything to the Google Health app, using your phone's GPS for runs. Pair it with optional Google Health Premium for a Gemini-powered coach that builds training plans around your goals — an experience Google developed with Curry's input.
Who should buy it?
Basketball fans, athletes who sweat a lot, and anyone who wants a Fitbit Air that stands out from the crowd. It also makes a standout gift for a sports lover. If you just want the tracker without the special band, the standard Obsidian, Fog, Berry and Lavender models have identical tracking features.
The Fitbit Air is a wellness device. AFib alerts are not a medical diagnosis.
